IDT’s Redlake Cameras Make Scene at International Expo

July 23rd, 2008

Integrated Design Tools, Inc. on the Move at Technology Forums

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Integrated Design Tools, Inc. (IDT), headquartered in Tallahassee, recently participated in the 2008 Automotive Testing Expo Europe in Stuttgart, Germany. IDT’s Redlake digital imagine systems were exhibited among some of the latest technologies, services and tools available in the industry. The most important international trade show for automotive, bus and truck engine designers, the Expo is known for offering the highest concentration of engine component manufacturers and technology providers in the world.

The high-profile venue gave IDT the opportunity to showcase its Redlake line of cameras. Ideal for automotive testing, the HG-N model in particular features extended record capability along with a rugged design, providing solutions for recording high-speed events such as automotive rollovers - where long, continuous recording is required. Using an exclusive 1.7 mega-pixel CMOS sensor the HG-N produces beautiful color images or crisp, clean mono images with greater sensitivity.  The HG-N’s onboard IRIG decoder provides both time-stamp data and extremely accurate synchronization between cameras and other instrumentation on military ranges. An integrated, on-board GPS decoder provides the same functionality without the infrastructure required for IRIG.

Partnering with IDT at the Expo was Dantec Dynamics of Denmark. Dantec specializes in the development and sales of integrated measurement systems for diagnostics and research into fluid mechanics, solid mechanics, microfluidics, spray analysis and combustion technology. The companies both demonstrated some of the most innovative tools available to automotive testing professionals.

“It was energizing to take part in the Expo,” said Dr. Luiz Lourenco, CEO of IDT, Inc. “The excitement for these advancing technologies could be felt throughout the event. In a profession where speed and timing mean everything, IDT looks forward to these opportunities to share our expertise and collaborate with recognized experts in.”

IDT continues to participate in educational forums, taking part in the Optical Systems Group (OSG) in Manchester, Tenn. this month. OSG is the Range Commander’s Council’s center of expertise for optical

imaging systems employed on Major Range and Test Facility Bases, Tactical Training Ranges, and at National Laboratories. The meetings enhance the evaluation of areas such as new imaging technology, the development of optics-related standards and the engineering of technical solutions for optical problems.

IDT, EINSTEIN AND NAB

Integrated Design Tools, Inc. and Einstein Show-Stoppers at NAB Vegas

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Integrated Design Tools, Inc. (IDT) of Tallahassee stopped the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show in Las Vegas this week with a powerful combination of innovative technology and a little help from Einstein himself. IDT introduced the Digital Cinema Edition of its slow motion products at the show through a powerful short feature film entitled The Mystery of Time. The film was shot using the newly released Y5 camera, and told about relativity using Albert Einstein’s words. A behind-the-scenes story was also presented to demonstrate the ease of use and flexibility of the camera and its seamless integration with the Mac OS environment.

Held April 11through 17 in Las Vegas, the NAB Show is the world’s largest electronic media expo, covering the development, delivery and management of professional video and audio content across all mediums.

IDT was a major exhibitor this year, introducing its Digital Cinema line of slow motion cameras. This camera line features three new products: The HG-N (Digital Cinema Edition) with a stunning ultra-sensitive (5000 ASA color) 1.7 Megapixel sensor, capable of delivering 1,000 fps and with 32 GB of RAM, the largest recording capacity available; the Y-5 (Digital Cinema Edition) with its 4 Megapixel sensor delivering 1,000 fps and the ultra-compact N5 (Digital Cinema Edition) capable of recording 1080P format at 1,000 fps.

“We were thrilled to see how industry professionals from across the globe embraced our technology,” said Dr. Luiz Lourenco, CEO of IDT, Inc. “This single event proved what we have known to be true all along: dependable, compact, portable slow motion imaging is in high-demand in both the film and broadcast industries.”

In all, 105,259 participants with a record 28,310 international attendees attended NAB.

“This year’s event produced record international attendance numbers and was a huge success,” said NAB Executive Vice President Dennis Wharton. “Our team works hard to make sure all of our exhibitors, guests and attendees have a great experience. It was a pleasure having an innovative organization like Integrated Design Tools onboard for this great show.”
